Uma oportunidade única de conhecer, explorar e aprender o método de abordagem de Jim Kroupa ao fantástico mundo mecânico das marionetas! Cindo dias intensivos, nos quais, segundo as suas palavras: “vamos começar por lançar as nossas mãos a exemplos e experiências que abordam materiais, desenhos, construções e os respectivos resultados. Cada estudante irá conceber e construir os mecanismos de uma marioneta”.
Tudo isto será feito segundo a directiva de Jim Kroupa “faz o mais simples possível”, incorporando o mínimo de esforço para o máximo efeito!
A unique opportunity! The five day intensive will examine Jim Kroupa’s approach to “Mechanical Heaven”! Starting with hands on examples and discussions that cover materials, designs, execution, and results, each student will design and build a puppet mechanism. This will be done using Jim's "keep it simple" approach and incorporating minimal effort for maximum effect!
BIO Jim KroupaHá mais de 30 anos que o marionetista americano Jim Kroupa tem concebido e construído marionetas e mecanismos de marionetas. Participou em diversos projectos de Jim Henson, dos quais se destacam os

The Muppets). É co-fundador de 3/Design Studio e construiu marionetas para cinema:

A Muppet Christmas: Letters to Santa, trabalhou com Woody Allen no filme

The Producers,
Little Monsters,
Joe's Apartment…. Em televisão participou em
Little Muppet Monsters,
Eureeka's Castle,
Rua Sésamo (no caso da série em Portugal foi um dos formadores),
Bear in the Big Blue House,
It's a Big Big World,

The Great Space Coaster,
Wimzie's House,
Johnny and the Sprites, etc. Desenvolveu ainda diversos anúncios, como

For over 30 years, Jim Kroupa has been performing, designing and building puppets and puppet mechanisms. Jim has worked on several Muppet projects. He is a co-owner of 3/Design Studio and worked for films: The Muppets take Manhattan, A Muppet Christmas: Letters to Santa, Woody Allen’s Alice, The Producers, Little Monsters, Joe's Apartment and more. For television: Little Muppet Monsters, Eureeka's Castle, Sesame Street, Bear in the Big Blue House, It's a Big Big World, Between the Lions, The Great Space Coaster, Wimzie's House, Johnny and the Sprites, and many more.
